Thinkwells Art began as a labor of gratitude and a belief that everyday moments hold extraordinary meaning. Steven Wells, working alone in his cozy St Louis studio, breathed life into Thinkwells Thoughts through art steeped in faith, hope, and a touch of playful wisdom. Each illustration - whether a whimsical Perko Joe drawing or a faith-inspired mural - reflects Steven's conviction that God's presence can be sensed in nature's quiet majesty, the comfort of coffee, or a thoughtful conversation. Personalized commissions become collaborations, woven with optimism to celebrate clients' unique journeys. The essence of Thinkwells Art lies in telling visual stories that inspire, uplift, and offer a daily reminder to cherish the beautiful complexity of our lives, welcoming every visitor to imagine their own story in watercolor and ink.

Steven Wells
I’m an artist who sees the world in stories — in brushstrokes, in small wonders, in the quiet places where faith and imagination meet. My work began in the margins of sketchbooks and has grown into murals, illustrations, and the kind of art that invites people to slow down and breathe.
I’ve spent years teaching young artists how to see with their hearts, not just their eyes. And through Thinkwells Thoughts, I share the same invitation with adults — to notice God’s presence in the ordinary and let creativity become a way of paying attention.
Every piece I make is shaped by faith, curiosity, and a desire to help others find beauty, reflection, and hope in their own stories. If my art can open a small window of wonder for someone else, then I’m doing what I was made to do.
I host Daily Bible Reading Plan for Artists, a daily Bible reading and devotional series created especially for artists. Through this practice, I pair Scripture with artists and artwork, offering a meaningful blend of creativity and faith that speaks into the everyday journey of an artist. Each Day's focus is an invitation to pause, reflect, and see God’s truth expressed through His Word and a guide for growing as the artist God intended.
